About The Firm
Harrington Family Lawyers is one of the first boutique family law firms to have been established in Brisbane. Julie Harrington established the practice in 1991.
At Harrington Family Lawyers we practise solely in the areas of family law and de facto relationship law. These areas of law are unlike other areas of law. They are also rapidly changing. Each year there are major changes to family law and de facto relationships law. Because we practice exclusively in family law and de facto relationships law, we are able to keep abreast of those changes. Our solicitors regularly attend family law seminars and conferences so that they can keep their skills up to date.
Our office is located in the Hitachi Building, 239 George Street in central Brisbane. It is close to the Family Law Courts in Brisbane and our solicitors appear regularly in those courts. When a case requires the assistance of other professionals (such as barristers, accountants and social workers) we engage only those experts who have experience in family law. Our knowledge of family law and de facto relationships law and our ability to advise clients as to the workings of the family law system in Australia is one of our strengths.
